Troy Redfern

Troy Redfern is known for high velocity rock, based around his slide playing.
On this new single – taken from his new album ‘Invocations’ – the slide is there, but more as a background flavour to a riff based number. So the single has to be measured against other riff merchants, and there is no shortage at the moment.
It still emerges however, as one of the most powerful evocations of out and out RAWK! That I’ve heard this year. Redfern’s guitars are what the whole track is built around, along with a piledriver drumbeat and tight bass riff, plus, of course, Troy’s vocals, which remind me of a wildcat on the charge.



Frankly, it is a bloody monster, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the album.
