One of the most classic AOR bands, FM are celebrating 40 years as a band this year. This single, ‘Out Of The Blue’, is catchy as hell, melodic and a great listen.
Vocalist Steve Overland is still with the band, with Merv Goldsworthy on bass and Pete Jupp on drums, Jim Kirkpatrick joined in 2008 to play lead guitar and keyboardsman Jem Davis has been with the band since 1993. The sound that has been so successful over 40 years is still the same with Steve Overland taking over rhythm guitar duties after the death of his brother Chris last year.

It is heavy on the rhythms, danceable as all get up, and there is a smoky quality to it, it feels like a club number with the band kicking up a storm and with Kirkpatrick’s guitar solos punctuating the choruses brilliantly.

They will be touring in March and April with a bunch of support from Brave Rival, Collateral, Romeo’s Daughter or Hand Of Dimes depending on venue.
