Five minutes after putting this 5-track EP on, I forgot anything was playing! It's like butter on hot toast. Once spread it just disappears, but you still know its there from the tatse. Well I can't taste Bic Rungas Birds (Oooer Missus!!), because it's music that's not meant to be listened. You can feel it. It's all around you, but there's nothing there.

This takes easy listening to new levels. And as I arrive at each level it just continues to bland - sorry - blend into the atmosphere more and more. It's wallpaper music for elevators to the car parks in shopping malls!! It's not that it's bad or indeed good, it's neither one nor the other.

Music for film for the scenes where nothing much happens...the man and the woman meet in a park in suburban Paris (berets and striped jerseys all round) - it's raining. They're holding hands and walking, reflecting on the news that they finally realise they're in love, but he's just discovered he has only got one year to live (Ok, so something does happen?!!). How does he tell her? He first pops down to his local CD emporium and buys a copy of Bic Runga - Birds just before he meets the woman in the park and plays it while they're talking. That's what he does (It's music to be scene and not heard)!
Anyway, talking of new levels, I've arrived at my floor and it's time for me to go. But wait... as I drive off into the sunset did I just see out of the corner of my eye a French couple sitting on a park bench...? Silly me, I'm just listening to Bic Runga again. I forgot it was on.
