With enough la la la's and high end plucking and strumming to put Brian Wilson back to bed forever, this first single from forthcoming album ‘Songs We Sing' is certainly going to be one of those. Cold December comes from the same happy/sad song mould that Brendan Benson and label mate Jack Johnson keep in their back pocket. Although this single doesn't necessarily bring anything new to the table, and the lyrics (I can't fall asleep to your mystery…) don't always make sense, you'll be smiling and tapping your feet far too much to care.
