Danny McNamara with crew in tow took to the stage as an expectant audience looked on with glee. It's hard to believe that this was the same band that emerged onto the music scene in their initial incarnation prior to ‘Out Of Nothing'. The swagger and cult status that embodies every performance was visible tonight, the crowd hanging on every McNamara ditty. The Coldplay piano interlude was there as was the confidence that comes from a previous sell out Arena tour. Building on the success of ‘Out Of Nothing' and with their recent number 1 album ‘This New Day' Embrace deserved to look every bit as pleased to be there as they did. The majority of the setlist was predictably lifted from these two gargantuan albums with personal favourites being ‘Natures Law', ‘Out Of Nothing', ‘Ashes' ‘Gravity' and ‘Glorious Day'. The catchy Embrace choruses and heartfelt lyrics were absorbed by a crowd who have taken Embrace to their core and a great night was had by all.
