Bowery Ballroom was electrified on October 10, Tuesday night by Neon Trees. The band recently put out a new single “Feel Good” and selected NYC along with LA for special performances. Although they haven't been on tour for a few years, their love of performance was evident as the excited crowd danced and sang along to Neon Trees’ songs new and old.

A smaller venue, Bowery Ballroom was the perfect size for Neon Trees’ performance, making it a slightly more intimate setting for the most dedicated of fans. Starting off the night with “Sins” and “Love and Affection,” Neon Trees took to the stage with tons of applause. Lead singer Tyler Glenn was able to showcase his funky weird personality as he jumped around the stage, unafraid to bend back all the way to the floor!

The crowd truly came alive six songs in with their smash hit “Animal” from 2010 album Habits which set tone for the rest of the night. Female drummer Elaine Bradley also showcased her singing abilities during “Mad Love” leaving the audience wanting more.

Neon Trees ended their set with popular song “Sleeping with a Friend,” from their most recent album Pop Psychology and closed out the night with their classic hit “Everybody Talks.” Before last Tuesday's performance, I only had a handful of their songs that I regularly played. After the show, however, so many more songs have made that playlist - Neon Trees’ sound is so distinct, perfect if you're looking for an alternative, funky, rock, slightly pop band. I look forward to listening to any of their new music when it drops.
