Exposé are one of those girl-bands that pretty much missed out on success in the UK, despite being one of the biggest ever girl-bands Stateside. Despite a string of Top 10 singles in the States, they barely broke the Top 100 throughout their three album long career. However, having had a deluxe edition re-release of their 1987 debut Exposure met with applause two years ago, their 1989 sophomore album What You Don't Know has now been revisited for a bumper three-disc celebratory release, which does not disappoint.

Although The Bangles, Martika and Kylie may have kept Exposé out of the charts three decades ago, anyone who gives their sophomore album a listen will see that they were more than deserving of huge chart acclaim in the UK. Ann Curless, Jeanette Jurado and Gioia Bruno not just boasted a polished image but they had the vocal prowess to compete with the finest and a set of tunes that makes your heart and soul bounce in time with your hips.

While the album in it's original form is perhaps the strongest element of the record, with Stop, Listen, Look & Think and Didn't It Hurt To Hurt Me the most timeless of tracks, the diversity of the additional remixes makes for exciting listening.

That being said the variety displayed is limited due to the heavy leaning on key tracks for the remix process as opposed to a really extensive re-exploration of the album complete. With the bonus discs best listened to as a dip-in dip-out experience, we heavily suggest you skip to the final two tracks on the final disc t hear the unreleased demo of What You Don't Know and unreleased track You Got Me Running to discover just how much more the trio could have achieved.
