British metal has recently wangled its way back into the public eye, becoming more popular than ever. Alongside other acts due to perform at the O2 such as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez is the British rock group Bring Me The Horizon. If this doesn’t prove metal is making its come back then I don’t know what does.

The massive capacity of 20,000 people doesn’t noticeably effect front man Oli Sykes as he strolls onto the stage and throws his hands in the air. As if controlling the visuals with his hands, Sykes manipulates the lighting and backing videos to seem as if he has complete power. He does have complete authority with every fan hanging onto each lyric and word spat out of his mouth.

Rumours of Sykes having damaged vocal and losing the ability to be a screamo vocalist were impossible to believe as his voice sounded stronger than ever. His aggressive swagger and screams were more prominent in their older material as Sykes seemed to slightly lack that confidence in tracks from ‘That’s The Spirit’ that challenged his singing voice. However ’Throne' was unforgettable forcing the crowd into an absolute frenzy with confetti and smoke filling the air.

Bring Me The Horizon provided the most insane encore of anthems ‘True Friends’, ‘Oh No’ and ‘Drown’. With circle pits and walls of death, Bring Me forced the dedicated fans into pure hysteria. The blend of all 5 of their albums meant that the pop, rock and metal genres were all visited and owned, showing just how prepared Bring Me are to take on every aspect and angle of this industry head on.
