RMP is on fire. This year has been super busy as he has released hit video after hit video and now has a new track Trap Phone on Soundcloud to celebrate. All while working on new material and going to and fro the studio. With collaborations and live performances all in the pipeline, 2016 has been his best year yet so far and 2017 set to be even better (and no doubt even busier.)
If you haven't heard of RMP (Realest Music Played) and you want an artist with a contemporary sound the youth of today are craving; hot beats, relevant lyrics, music to dance to, to chill to, then look no further.
His new single, Trap Phone, for instance couldn't be more different, sound and lyrically wise, to his last smash video Get Active. That was all about the celebrity lifestyle, the girls, the slick apartment, having a good time whereas Trap Phone is about life in the "Endz", where your friends are trying to survive by 'Trapping'; making and selling drugs and you don't want to be a part of it, but you get sucked in by the money "The Roleys and Germans" and "seeing mad doh". He knows it's wrong "Lord forgive my ways, even though I'm trapping every day, you know we don't want to live this way."
He wants to help his friends get out, "See my hittaz need some help, they've been stuck in this trap" and this inspires him to make music. "I'm a rapper, not a trapper." It's about turning your life around and survival.
So what's imminent for RMP? An upcoming EP, as of yet untitled, but sure to be filled with catchy beats, sick lyrics,a variety of themes and music genres. This boy from South London is on the grind and he's loving every moment.
