Tony Mortimer is a multi award winning singer, songwriter and musician. He rose to fame by founding East17, one of the UK’s most celebrated and successful boybands of the 1990's.

He burst onto the scene in 1992 with East17’s debut single ‘House Of Love’, which sold 600,000 copies and a debut album hit the No.1 spot the following year.

Mortimer began his career by writing songs at the tender age of 14. He has achieved numerous top ten hits worldwide including the critically acclaimed Christmas single ‘Stay Another Day’ that remained No.1 for five consecutive weeks, at aged only 23. The song was based on the suicide of his brother but it was turned into a love song. Tony’s talent have seen him honoured with a prestigious Ivor Novello award for his songwriting.

Since 2000 Mortimer has recorded several songs with world renowned producer Gary Katz. In 2013 he wrote a song with Julian Lennon entitled ‘Rain In England’ for his debut solo album ‘Songs From The Suitcase’. To date Mortimer’s songs have sold over 20 million copies.

Tony kicks off the autumn with three comeback gigs, which will take place in London, Manchester and Birmingham. He will be performing all the hits and some new material alongside his live band.
