Jess and the Bandits have spent 2015 working hard to become one of the UK's most compelling and addictive country acts. Fronted by Jess Clemmons, who you may recognise as the face of high street brand Evans, the infectious quintet released what was without any doubt one of the stand out debuts of 2015, and most certainly the most noteworthy of the releases from the British country contingency. It was therefore little surprise that their debut album Here We Go Again romped up the charts and the band sold out their debut headline tour.
With the band currently working their little socks off to get a sophomore album ready, they decided to not make their fans wait any longer for new material and so are re-releasing their debut effort with four additional songs. The first of the four has been revealed as the Jeff Cohen and Liz Longley co-write Kiss You Now.
For those that thought it would be impossible for the group to top the addictive nature of feel-good, self-belief anthem Nitty Gritty or to die for hook of mischievous My Name Is Trouble, Kiss You Now will prove a real revelation. With Jess at her very feistiest, Kiss You Now is an anthem for all those to afraid to make the first move. Simply follow the advice and go grab that kiss right now.
Kiss You Now's success is sourced in its sing-along nature. A real immediate anthem, it hooks you in and gets that booty shaking irrepressibly and you join in the chorus on the very first listen. Equally impressive is the vocal prowess of Jess, who sounds even stronger on this new single than she did on their flawless debut.
Kiss You Now may be more pop that country, but we are not complaining. If this does not become a radio smash, then we will eat our hats.
