Having spent time working in the industry writing songs for other artists, London's Nina Schofield has decided the time is right to record her own material. Her career is already impressive with connections through her writing to the likes of Usher, Morrissey and Gabrielle Aplin. Classically trained and with a degree in Vocal Performance, the Londoner is well schooled on what makes a good pop song.

The challenge for those wanting to step out from behind the writing and onto the stage is ensuring that the material and personality is strong enough to carry the music. Schofield has a great pop vocal and Come Down is a confident statement of intent with big beats that will transfer easily to the dancefloor. It is also well produced, thanks to the steady hands of Jo Pereira, who manages not to overfill the sound.

Schofield says there is now a collection of songs that she feels are right for her - and Come Down is an impressive introduction of what's to follow.
