There’s an urgent slackness to Free Radicals the first track from London three piece Wardance EP. There’s an image in the mind of low slung guitars, hard-boiled eye balls staring at the stage and instruments with scant regard for anything else. This is grunge but taken up a level and just that bit nastier than that of old.

Which is why the popier Guiding Light looks to have been chosen as the lead song. It’s heavy with the edges just a touch rounder making it easier to digest. The other two EP tracks, Reality and Come Alive, are rowdy, fuzzy affairs and possibly more representative of the band.

Look forward to hearing more from Wardance.
