There was a time when Korn received the same condemnation as Mr Marilyn Manson. Korn spouted the music of the devil- according to some rather repressed preachers of both the gospel and the far right- and the popularity of Korn's music exploded around the world. ‘Twisted Transistor' is the comeback track for a band that miss the limelight and- more importantly- deserve the limelight. ‘Twisted Transistor' includes the obligatory radio edit version of the track and the album version where they can keep both the aggression and the swear words intact. Korn and new band The Matrix write the song. It's a gothic opera of a track and an ode to the insecurity within us all. It's a deliberately distorted communique to enemy forces.

‘Twisted Transistor' is rock music with the slightest touch of metal music thrown in for good measure. It courts commerciality but refuses to climb into bed with it and it is quite simply one of the best tracks around. Enjoy it at your leisure.
