Favourite Maltese and International Artist: Laura Pausini /Joseph Calleja

Favourite Maltese and International Eurovision Song:
'The One that I love' Chiara
'Euphoria' Loreen

Favourite Movie of all time: The Sound of Music

Favourite holiday destination and why?: Italy - because I love eating Spaghetti and pizza, I love Italian music and fashion, history and culture.

Eurovision is a very important event for the Maltese people, yet other countries take it with a pinch of salt? What are your views?
Other countries might have other diverse venues for their artists to flourish, but for us, this is the largest opportunity to kick start a career abroad. Also locally, it provides the largest and most professionally organised set up for performing and allows Maltese artists to make their music heard.

Besides yourself, who is your favourite act to win Malta Eurovision 2015?
I have quite a few favourites but will decide when I hear the live acts eventually on stage. That is the moment of truth.

Describe your feeling on ‘Xarabank’ TV show when you realized you had been chosen as one of the Finalists?:
I was left till the very end so I was really prepared for anything ...

Rumours had it that Ira Losco would submit a song this year!! Do you think established artists like Ira, Joseph Calleja, Ivan Grech (Winter Moods) and others should consider taking part in Malta Eurovision and why/why not?:
I am definitely not against established artists participating in the Eurovision. Their participation would only benefit the quality of the show and if, in return, they feel it can serve their careers, why not?

Can you tell us of any curious/funny incidents you may have had whilst performing?
Well once during a festival I opened my mouth to sing only to find I was anticipated by a parallel voice coming across from the speakers, singing exactly the same tune. Mid-through the song I realised that the audio-person had mistakenly put on the full track (complete with vocals) instead of the backing track... I spent the entire song miming and was terrified I'd get the lipsing wrong! Those 3 minutes seemed like a lifetime!

Why should the Maltese public vote for your song to represent Malta in 2015?:
I believe that my entry this year is a very powerful one that will do well abroad.
