If you were to mix the voices of Regina Spektor and Cerys Matthews then you may get an idea of what the unusual and distinctive voice of Renee-Louise Carafice sounds like.

When you listen to the first track you may think of the music of Nick Drake. Listen to the rest of the album and you will think of many other singer/songwriters who have written other depressingly great albums. It is depressing. Research that I have done on this album repeatedly tells me that she was institutionalised years ago and these songs were born from around that time, so it’s not going to be the Jive Bunny Party mix of 2008/9. Then again, it’s not going to go into my 'most favourite albums to slit your wrist to...... ever' but when you listen to the stories being sung in her songs you will realize this is a seriously talented and unique songwriter.

It’s mostly an acoustic album with some strange and interesting guitar lines and some unusual vocals that sometimes break into falsetto and sometimes just break. It doesn’t matter. Each song will bring you down suitably and yet make you appreciate her more. I really enjoyed it though I'm still not sure if that was her intention.
