The Nocturne concert series , which transforms The Great Court at Blenheim Palace into the ultimate open-air concert venue, returns from June 23rd – 26th with shows from some of the world’s best-loved artists.

Opening the event on Thursday June 23rd is Oscar-winning Italian composer Ennio Morricone, who will conduct a 200-strong orchestra and choir as they perform some of his most memorable compositions. Widely regarded as one of the greatest, most prolific film composers of all time, Morricone has written over 500 scores for cinema including The Mission, Cinema Paradiso and the classic Italian westerns The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West.

Headlining on Friday June 24th are international chart-topping quartet The Corrs who, having sold over 40 million albums around the world, were one of the major success stories of the ‘90s and ‘00s and recently made a triumphant return to the industry with White Light, their first album of new music since 2005’s Home. Support for this show will come from hotly-tipped, acoustic singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti, whose new album Written In Scars reached the UK top 10 earlier on this year.

Saturday night’s headline show will see The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra perform a selection of music from classic Bond films for an evening of ‘The Music From Bond’. Presented by former Bond girl Fiona Fullerton (A View To A Kill), and featuring guest vocalists Mary Carewe and Simon Bowman, The RPCO will perform themes from films including Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Live & Let Die, Licence to Kill, Skyfall and the acclaimed score from Spectre under the direction of conductor Richard Balcombe.

Bringing the event to a close on Sunday June 26th is one of the most popular musicians of all time, the legendary, multi-award-winning, pianist, singer and songwriter Elton John and his band. A true visionary, who over the course of an illustrious five-decade career has sold over 300 million albums, John will be making his Blenheim Palace debut and will perform a hit-laden set with his band drawing on classic songs from his extensive back catalogue as well as music from 33rd studio album Wonderful Crazy Night.
