The countdown to Cambridge’s biggest independent urban music festival, Strawberries & Creem is underway with only three weeks to go. Strawberries & Creem - now in it’s third year, has announced its huge headliners for 2016 – revealing legendary US rapper NELLY and UK grime sensation KANO as the mega acts topping the bill.
Global superstar Nelly will be making his debut at Strawberries & Creem this summer. The hit artist with 4 number 1 UK hits will get the crowd dancing at Cambridge’s biggest summer festival. The 5,000 strong crowd can look forward to the ‘Hot in Here’ star's chart topping hits such as: Over and Over, Work It and Nasty Girl making this one party to remember.
UK Grime artist Kano, winner of Best Newcomer award for two consecutive years (2004 and 2005) at the Urban Music Awards and the iconic MOBO awards (2005) will take to the stage this year showcasing iconic tracks such as: This is the Girl, Against all Odds and Typical Me. Kano will make sure to get the crowd dancing and keep the party pumping.
Joining Nelly and Kano in this years line-up are: David Rodigan, Big Narstie, Kurupt FM, Snakehips, D Double E, Channel One Sound System, Spooky, Crazy Cousinz, Madam X and more!
The all-day festival takes place on Saturday 11th June at Haggis Farm Polo Club, Cambridgeshire. 5000 students and urban music fans will be treated to 30 huge acts across 3 mega stages.
Strawberries & Creem is the first ever festival aimed at students and young people in Cambridge, and has already generated £100,000 for the local economy. With a young founding team including both university students and recent graduates, Strawberries & Creem aims to bring contemporary music to the city, moving away from the traditional atmosphere associated with Cambridge.
