More huge artists performing at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Vodafone were named this morning (Wednesday) on the Capital London Breakfast Show as Dave Berry, George & Lilah continued to reveal the line-up for this summer’s biggest party!
International superstar will.i.am joins the bill to perform on the iconic stage at Wembley Stadium on Saturday June 11th. The music legend and seven time Grammy award-winner has, in collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas, achieved 38 entries in the UK Top 40 chart and sold 9.4 million UK singles. With the recent release of his first new music since 2014 including massive tracks ‘Boys & Girls’ which he dropped this month, Capital listeners can expect an amazing live show!
Nick Jonas returns to the Wembley stage after his 2015 debut at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Vodafone. The ‘Jealous’ and ‘Close’ hit-maker’s new solo album ‘Last Year Was Complicated’ drops the day before the ball so Capital listeners will see the first live UK performance of his explosive new material.
Dave, George & Lilah went on to reveal that chart-topper Jess Glynne joins the stellar line-up. The Grammy award winner, who has a number one album under her belt, has also scored five UK number one singles since 2014 as a solo artist and with collaborations including ‘Not Letting Go’ featuring Tinie Tempah – also on this year’s massive line-up – and the huge international hit ‘Rather Be’ with Clean Bandit.
Dave, George & Lilah went on to reveal that Jillionaire of Major Lazer will take to the Wembley Stadium stage to perform for Capital listeners. Major Lazer’s tracks were Shazamed more than 27 million times last year and Jillionaire of Major Lazer will perform some of the biggest tracks from their newest album ‘Peace is the Mission’ including international hit single ‘Lean On’, which reached number one in six countries, and the current chart smash ‘Light It Up’.
Finally west London trio WSTRN were added to the star-studded line-up. Capital listeners who witnessed the group’s huge performance of ‘In2’ at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball last year will be excited to see Haile, Akelle and Louis take to the stage at Wembley for another energetic performance.
The world class acts announced today join Ariana Grande, Tinie Tempah and Zara Larsson, Lukas Graham, Years & Years, The Vamps, Little Mix, Flo Rida, Nathan Sykes, Craig David and Sigala and more.
