This year's 2011 Music Crowns winners were announced back in August having made it past the judging panels of Rock (Jon Morter, Skin, Adam Ficek, Jeremy Glover), Pop (Samantha Mumba, Liam Bailey, Su-Elise Nash, Ahmir) and Urban (Jamal Edwards, Levi Roots, Ras Kwame, Justice Williams MBE) to face the public voting process.

During this time the bands and acts performed at the very first Music Crowns Festival at Weald Country Park in Brentwood, Essex with all that managed to perform underlining the standard of unsigned UK and Ireland talent. Several factors led to day 2 being cut short but day 1 witnessed Stacey Solomon, McLean, Egypt, Missing Andy and Fugative take to the stage. Outstanding performances from the up and coming DeJa, Leo LeVox and Screama were highlights as well as the fun and games of the New Town Kings.

The Music Crowns winners arrived in the shape of My Forever from Thirsk in North Yorkshire (Roy Williamson, Dave Ingham, Glen Mancrief, James Potter, Ben Watson) in the Rock category, Clapz Shizzayne from South London in the Urban category and Ana Free from London via Portugal in the Pop category.
