The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is excited to announce an exclusive masterclass with The Dub Pistols’ drummer, Darren Ashford at the British Music Experience in the O2 on 1st November 2009.
Following the ICMP’s graduation ceremony, Darren will be joined by ICMP bass tutor, Dave Marks, at the interactive British Music Experience where select ICMP students and members of the public will get the chance to join this unique masterclass. Attendees will also be offered the chance to see The Dub Pistols perform live that evening, as they headline the ICMP graduation being held at Matter, the O2.
Darren joined the Drifters in 1995 and toured extensively throughout the world and later became their musical director. Darren has drummed with many bands and artists including Will Young, Phats and Small, Sean Paul, Will Smith, Joss Stone, Lionel Richie, Chaka Khan, Shola Ama, Black Eyed Peas and Beverley Knight, to name just a few. Darren is also a world class drum teacher and is a member of the drum faculty at The ICMP in London, Kilburn.
