The Americana Music Association UK (AMA-UK) has announced its official relaunch with a special showcase concert on Wednesday 20 January 2027 at KOKO in Camden, London. Marking a new chapter for the organisation, the flagship event brings together legendary headliners and standard-bearers of the contemporary scene.

Leading the line-up are American icon Steve Earle and Canadian singer-songwriter Frazey Ford, both performing their first London shows since 2018 and 2021 respectively. Joining them on the bill are three of the UK’s finest roots talents: Kezia Gill, Elles Bailey, and Jonny Morgan & The Moral Support.

The landmark show signifies a major turning point for the AMA-UK following a hiatus in 2025 and a strategic reset throughout 2026. Armed with a revitalised leadership team, the independent, non-profit trade body aims to expand its presence, grow its 500-strong membership base across all UK regions, and celebrate a genre that continues to thrive.

For over ten years, the association’s acclaimed UK Americana Music Week stood as a cornerstone of the global roots calendar, integrating an industry conference, showcase festival, and premier awards ceremony. The Camden concert serves as the crucial first step in a long-term plan to build back to a full-scale annual convention by 2028.

Speaking on the announcement, Kristen Neilson of the AMA-UK Leadership Team shared her excitement for the upcoming event: "We can’t wait to share a fantastic evening of music next January and are thrilled to be joined by Steve Earle, Frazey Ford, Kezia Gill, Elles Bailey and Jonny Morgan & The Moral Support. As we begin a new chapter for the Association, our aim is to consolidate our ground-breaking achievements so far, re-build our January event into a world-class centrepiece and expand our activities across the UK."

General ticket sales for the relaunch concert open on Friday 6 November 2026. Fans and industry members alike can look forward to a night celebrating the vital legacy and dynamic future of Americana music in Britain.
