Stockport indie quintet Blossoms have announced details of their sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake, set for release on 2 October 2026 via ODD SK and Distiller Records.

The announcement arrives alongside their new single, "Meet Me In Love," and details of a headline UK arena tour in late 2026, marking the largest live dates of the band's career.

"Meet Me In Love" follows the previous single "Joke About Divorce" and introduces a funk and disco influence to the band's signature sound. Written during a sessions trip to the Lake District by frontman Tom Ogden alongside Natalie Findlay and Jules Apollinaire, the track features backing vocals from singer-songwriter Declan McKenna and production by Shawn Lee at Tilehouse Studios.

"We started messing around with a simple two chord disco groove and, within a couple of hours, the whole thing seemed to fall into place," said Ogden. "It’s one of those songs that felt exciting from the moment it arrived."

The accompanying music video, shot on 16mm film at Chad’s Theatre in Stockport and directed by Ogden, features presenter Maya Jama alongside actor Callum Scott-Howells. The visual borrows design elements from classic Top of the Pops broadcasts and 1970s Hollywood aesthetics.

The album title references a local nickname for Stockport's Victorian town hall, where Ogden was married. Produced on analogue tape by Shawn Lee—known for his work with Young Gun Silver Fox—the ten-track record blends 1980s-inspired funk, indie pop, and dance arrangements.

To support the release, Blossoms will embark on a UK arena tour throughout November and December 2026, joined by special guests The Royston Club. The run includes performances at London's Alexandra Palace, Cardiff's Utilita Arena, Glasgow's OVO Hydro, Birmingham's Utilita Arena, and a homecoming show at Manchester's Co-op Live.
Songs From The Wedding Cake is available to pre-order now ahead of its 2 October release.
