Indie rock band The Big Moon have released their new single "Three Things," taken from their upcoming fourth studio album Forever, scheduled for release on 30 October 2026 via Fiction Records.
Following lead single "Gravity," the track reflects on youth, memory, and nostalgia. Frontwoman Juliette Jackson described the song as a look back at early adulthood: "Being young, driving in my first car, life was so imminent and possible and simple. Life was a crush, the future felt endless, we felt immortal. This song is about me now, looking back, fantasising about living in a song."
The new album Forever arrives four years after 2022's Here Is Everything. Recorded across three weeks at Bam Bam Studios in Norfolk with co-producer Sam Cohen, the 10-track album addresses themes of maturity, recovery, and long-term relationships following a difficult period for Jackson, who was diagnosed with a destructive ear cyst in 2024 that resulted in partial hearing loss.
"I permanently lost most of the hearing on one side, which was pretty much existential, because writing songs is my job and my identity," Jackson explained. "I just decided to write songs for this imaginary time, one or two years in the future, when I would be all healed and happy again."
Bass player Celia Archer added: "They're not trivial songs lyrically or thematically or musically, but Jules has shown us you can face all this stuff and choose to be hopeful and find power from it."
To support the album release, The Big Moon will embark on an eight-date UK headline tour in November 2026. The run includes stops in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, Brighton, Manchester, and Leeds, before concluding with their largest headline show to date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Friday, 27 November.
