Specialist music education provider
SupaJam is opening its fifth state-funded campus in Earl’s Court on 7 September 2026, offering 16–25-year-olds with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) a practical, music-led pathway into the creative industries.
The organisation combines hands-on musical training with direct industry experience, teaching RSL Creative Industries Diplomas across Levels 1, 2, and 3. Its practical curriculum spans music performance, production, songwriting, and event management, alongside entrepreneurship and marketing. Designed for neurodivergent students and those who have struggled in mainstream education, the programme nurtures artistic talent while building essential professional skills.
Purpose-built across three floors, the new Earl’s Court facility stands as SupaJam’s largest and best-equipped site to date. It features industry-standard recording studios, sound-proofed rehearsal rooms, radio and podcast production suites, and Apple Logic Pro editing setups.
Beyond classroom learning, SupaJam integrates real-world industry placements to connect students directly with the wider music ecosystem. Past students have secured hands-on work experience with major events and organisations, including The Great Escape, Festival Republic, and audio specialists d&b solutions.
Founded in 2013 by David Court and Nick Stillwell—who started the project in a Tunbridge Wells basement with just seven students—SupaJam now supports over 250 young musicians across its campuses in Canterbury, Swanley, Brighton, Wandsworth, and Earl’s Court. With a focus on talent and creativity rather than traditional academic barriers, over 70 percent of SupaJam leavers successfully progress into higher education and university-level music programmes.
Speaking on the role of music in education, joint CEO Nick Stillwell said: "We believe that learning through music and first-hand experiences can build confidence, engagement and skills that benefit students throughout their lives. Traditional education often focuses on what students can’t do, but at SupaJam, we focus on what they can do."
The Earl’s Court campus officially opens its doors on 7 September 2026.
