Swedish rock outfit The Hives have announced a brand-new live EP titled Live in Querétaro, Mexico, set for release on October 23 via Play It Again Sam. The announcement marks the one-year anniversary of their critically acclaimed studio album The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.

The forthcoming EP features live recordings captured during the band's headline performance at Festival City in Querétaro, Mexico, on April 11, 2026. The release will be available exclusively as a limited-edition 10-inch vinyl.

Accompanying the EP announcement, the band has released a live performance video for 'Legalize Living', recorded at the Mexican festival date. The track features a special guest appearance from Miky Huidobro, member of the Mexican rock band Molotov.

The news follows an extensive Latin American stadium tour alongside My Chemical Romance earlier this year, which saw the band perform to nearly half a million fans across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.

Over the past year, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives achieved widespread international success, earning four-star reviews from Mojo, Kerrang!, DIY, Classic Rock, and the London Standard. The album campaign launched with a live stream from Mexico City's Marble Palace and featured a music video for the title track filmed at Stockholm City Hall.

Comprising Howlin’ Pelle, Chris Dangerous, The Johan And Only, Nicholaus Arson, and Vigilante Carlstroem, the five-piece continue a 30-year career that includes sold-out stadium tours, international awards, and historic support slots with acts such as AC/DC and The Rolling Stones.
