Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

Dead Horse - ‘I Would Die’
London post-punk trio Dead Horse strip away their usual absurdist armour on ‘I Would Die’, a raw and obsessive love song that pushes romantic devotion towards something altogether darker and more consuming. The latest preview of debut album ‘Caught The Nonsense’, out 11 September via Sister 9 Records, pairs jagged guitars and relentless post-punk urgency with one of the band’s most exposed and emotionally direct performances yet.

Lala Vale - ‘Just Another Me’
Singer-songwriter Lala Vale previews her forthcoming album with ‘Just Another Me’, a haunting alternative-pop single exploring the guilt, confusion and emotional conflict of finding yourself in love with two people at once. Driven by moody guitars, pulsing bass and her distinctive smoky alto, the track refuses easy judgements, instead delving into the complicated grey areas where love, identity and impossible choices collide.

Seasurfer - ‘Flurry Glory’
Hamburg shoegaze trio Seasurfer return with ‘The Noise Is Ours’, a four-track EP that pushes their self-described “dream-punk” sound deeper into the space between crushing distortion and delicate, atmospheric beauty. Led by the immersive ‘Flurry Glory’, the release explores loss, rediscovery and love through towering guitars, propulsive rhythms and haunting vocals, while marking the band’s return to live performance following the pandemic.

Sunny Rae Keller - ‘Carry You On’
Californian singer-songwriter Sunny Rae Keller introduces her forthcoming debut album ‘Pocket’ with ‘Carry You On’, a tender folk meditation on caregiving, motherhood and the ways love passes between generations. Inspired by her own family history and written during an artist residency in France, the single pairs delicate acoustic textures with cinematic storytelling to find hope, connection and continuity within memory and loss.

MADISON - ‘YOUR GIRL’
London-based alt-pop artist MADISON previews her forthcoming debut EP with ‘Your Girl’, a bright, cinematic single that captures the intoxicating rush of finding someone who makes you feel more confident, fearless and alive. Co-produced with Oliver Lundström, the track pairs sweeping orchestral production with infectious pop hooks, revealing a playful new dimension to MADISON’s increasingly ambitious sound.
