Nine-time Grammy Award winner and 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Crow has announced her twelfth studio album, Pick You Up, set for digital release on 9 October 2026, followed by a vinyl release on 20 November 2026. Featuring seven new tracks written alongside her longtime collaborator Jeff Trott, the record will arrive via Old Green Barn Productions.

Coinciding with the announcement, Crow released the album's lead single, "Freedom Bus," featuring Jesse Welles. The track introduces the upcoming project by combining classic storytelling, signature vocals, and acoustic instrumentation. Crow explained that the song reflects on historical sacrifices made for freedom while encouraging peaceful connection, understanding, and constructive dialogue across political and cultural divides.

Musically, Pick You Up marks a return to the Americana, rock, and singer-songwriter sound that first defined Crow's career in the 1990s. The album explores deeply personal themes of hope, resilience, and human connection amidst modern social challenges. Crow shared that her wish for the collection is to offer comfort and a sense of unity to listeners navigating turbulent times.

The album artwork features the surrealist painting The Elephant Who Forgot The Ocean by artist Tyson Grumm. A longtime collector of Grumm's work, Crow acquired the original painting after discovering it at an auction and securing permission from the artist to feature it as the visual centerpiece for the release.

To mark the announcement, Crow is scheduled to perform on Good Morning America on 28 August 2026. The upcoming release follows her 2024 album Evolution and further adds to a career spanning over 50 million album sales worldwide, seven Top 10 albums, and an enduring influence on a new generation of songwriters.
