Tom Morello has announced his brand-new solo rock album, Everyone Gets Everything They Want, scheduled for release on 25 September 2026 via Mom + Pop Music. The 12-track collection fuses heavy rock with political activism, featuring guest appearances from Serj Tankian, Belfast hip-hop group Kneecap, and metalcore outfit Beartooth.
The record also features significant contributions from Morello's 15-year-old son, Roman Morello, who holds co-writing credits on five tracks and contributes guitar riffs and solos throughout the project. Production across the album was handled by a team including Tyler Smyth, Carl Restivo, Zakk Cervini, Dan Carey, and Sam Nelson Harris.
Alongside the album announcement, Morello shared the new single "Date Night," which features a main riff written by Roman Morello. The track recounts the history of Dutch teenage resistance fighters Hannie Schaft and sisters Truus and Freddie Oversteegen, who targeted and assassinated Nazi officers during World War II.
Discussing the inspiration behind the release, Morello emphasized the track's anti-fascist stance, framing the song around direct confrontation with historical and modern prejudice. The single follows the previously released track "Adjourn It," which features Serj Tankian and Roman Morello, taking aim at anti-immigrant sentiment.
The upcoming release continues Morello's long-standing history of activism alongside his work with Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, and The Nightwatchman. Beyond his recording projects, the guitarist recently completed dates on Bruce Springsteen’s "Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour" and performed at the Newport Folk Festival.
Looking ahead, Morello is scheduled to perform at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville this September, followed by the sold-out Power To The People Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion on 3 October. Curated by Morello, the event features a lineup including Foo Fighters, Joan Baez, Public Enemy, Killer Mike, and Dave Matthews.
Everyone Gets Everything They Want will be available on streaming platforms and physical formats on 25 September 2026.
