Natalie Imbruglia has unveiled her new single, “Just Drive,” accelerating anticipation for her upcoming album, Algorithm, set for release on 4 September 2026. The new track follows the double-strike success of previous singles “Upside Down” and the ambitious title track, further setting the stage for a bold new era of reinvigoration for the chart-topping artist.
“Just Drive” wraps Imbruglia’s tender vocals in electro-pop elegance, combining luminous synths, flourishes of piano melody, and a pulsating beat reminiscent of the cathartic release found in pop classics. Lyrically, the song captures the urge to move forward rather than standing still in heartbreak. Imbruglia explained that the track centers on hiding internal pain following a breakup to spare a loved one, choosing self-reliance over putting someone else through hardship.
Imbruglia wrote and produced the single alongside MyRiot (London Grammar, Primal Scream), who collaborated on several tracks across the project. Additional album contributors include Fraser T. Smith, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, Anu Pillai, Tobie Tripp, David Sneddon, Dan Priddy, Mark Crew, and Romeo Stodart. The self-financed and self-directed album represents an immensely personal record defined by raw, honest emotions paired with sleek, shimmering, dancefloor-friendly soundscapes.
The record appeals both to fans who have followed her since her multi-million-selling breakthrough with “Torn” and Left of the Middle, as well as newer listeners drawn in after her guest appearance with Olivia Rodrigo. Algorithm is currently available for pre-order, with exclusive physical formats including a limited-edition signed transparent blue vinyl from Wax and Beans and an official store cassette.
Following a busy summer touring schedule—which includes festival dates in Poland, Spain, and across the UK alongside shows with Tom Jones—Imbruglia will continue reconnecting with fans worldwide. Later this year, she is set to perform at the José Carreras & Friends stadium show at The Gabba in Brisbane on 5 December 2026.
