The latest recording from folk collective Floyds Row, The Carlisle Sessions (Catalogue No. BR9000), will be released by Big Round Records on 21 August 2026.

Recorded in Carlisle, Massachusetts, USA, the album showcases the ensemble’s unique sound, shaped by its members: soprano Emily Noël, violinist Asako Takeuchi, accordionist George Lykogiannis, multi-instrumentalists Chris Ferebee (cittern, guitar and mandolin) and Andrew Arceci (viola da gamba and double bass), and percussionist George Lernis.

Following their debut album, The Oxford Sessions (Centaur Records), Floyds Row has continued to explore the intersections of historical repertoire, folk traditions, and contemporary classical music. The ensemble has performed at venues and institutions across the United States, including the American Folk Art Museum, Berklee College of Music, Club Passim, Rockwood Music Hall, the Winchendon Music Festival, and many others.

Produced by Mac Ritchey and Floyds Row, The Carlisle Sessions features richly textured arrangements that fuse early music, classical, folk, and bluegrass/newgrass influences.

The Carlisle Sessions features thrilling music, bringing forgotten traditions into the present with imagination and virtuosity.
