Fat Dog have officially announced their highly anticipated second studio album, Cancel Me (I’m Tired), which is set for release on 2 October 2026. The major announcement comes fresh off the back of a Radio 1 Hottest Record and is accompanied by the release of the album's chaotic title track and an official music video. Directed by James Winstanley, the accompanying visual follows the South London seven-piece trying to avoid getting cancelled during a sweltering night out in London's Soho district. The track itself features frontman Joe Love blending a thumping club beat with Anatolian rock influences.
The upcoming ten-track record marks an ambitious sonic leap forward from their acclaimed 2024 debut WOOF., expanding their signature electro-punk-art-pop style into a grander arena. Written by Love immediately following a tumultuous US tour, the album's lyrical themes tackle everything from family ties and addiction to artificial intelligence and extra-terrestrials. Love focused heavily on the songwriting for this project, channelling the exhausting energy of the road and a sudden Las Vegas wedding into an expansive collection of genre-defying anthems, sweeping strings, and psychedelic rave bangers.
Having earned a reputation as one of the UK's most explosive live breakthrough acts following an intense touring cycle—including a legendary four-set stint at Glastonbury Festival—the band is maintaining their relentless live momentum. This week, the group are joining rock icons Foo Fighters for a massive run of European stadium dates, including high-profile appearances in Berlin, Vienna, and Milan. This follows a celebrated performance supporting Kneecap at Crystal Palace, solidifying their status as a major force in the contemporary alternative scene.
To celebrate the October release, the band will embark on an extensive UK instore tour beginning on release day at Kingston’s Circuit, before heading to various Rough Trade locations, Sheffield, Edinburgh, and Newcastle. This intimate run will lead directly into a massive headline UK and European autumn tour kicking off in late October at London's O2 Academy Brixton, hitting Manchester's Victoria Warehouse, and concluding at Nottingham's Rock City in December.
