Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum pop sensation Benson Boone has officially introduced his first new music of 2026 with the release of his latest single, "The Time of My Life." Available now via Warner Records, the slow-building track captures the eerie emotional detachment of moving forward through life's successes without a past partner by your side.
Co-written by Boone alongside his frequent collaborator Jack LaFrantz and producer Jason Evigan, the track opens as a melancholy dream featuring just acoustic guitar and Boone’s haunted vocals. It then builds into a soaring, dramatic "Wall of Sound" complete with layered harmonies, crashing drums, and stormy electric guitars that channel the lovelorn spirit of 1950s rock through a modern lens.
The accompanying music video portrays this deep emotional disconnect through a theatrical narrative co-starring social media personality Alix Earle. The pair playfully act out a larger-than-life love story on screen, contrasting with the track's internal struggle. The release follows a month of viral anticipation generated by Boone and Earle trading comedic TikTok videos online.
"The Time of My Life" marks Boone's first official material since his blockbuster sophomore album, American Heart. That record debuted in the Top 10 across ten countries, hitting number two in the United States and number one in both Australia and New Zealand. The project followed his high-profile debut at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards and a massive breakout year driven by his global chart-topping smash, "Beautiful Things," which recently joined YouTube’s Billion Views Club.
The new single arrives at a busy time for the pop artist as he prepares to embark on his massive, 35-date U.S. arena-conquering Wanted Man Tour. The summer run kicks off in Pittsburgh on July 7 and features multi-night stints at major venues including Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, before wrapping up in Casper, Wyoming on September 3. Boone is also scheduled to perform at the star-studded iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas later that month.
