London-based indie-pop four-piece daydreamers have officially released their long-awaited debut studio album, Have You Tried Screaming?, via Robots + Humans / Epic Records. To celebrate the milestone, the band has also announced a comprehensive UK headline tour for this coming December, allowing their rapidly growing fanbase to experience the new material live.
Spanning eleven tracks, the album masterfully transforms themes of heartbreak, uncertainty, and hope into euphoric musical moments. Built around a foundation of shimmering guitars, cinematic production, and soaring choruses, the record explores the emotional chaos of modern life while striving for genuine human connection. Frontman Riley describes the project's sonic landscape as "sad euphoria," pairing deeply personal lyrics with massive melodies designed for festival crowds.
Written in the wake of a major breakup, the album features key contributions from bandmates Aurora, Jay, and Marco. The tracking draws creative inspiration from prominent acts like Djo, The Strokes, and MGMT, while maintaining the band's own distinct identity. The opening title track, "Have You Tried Screaming?," serves as an emotional rallying cry for the record, encouraging listeners to embrace overwhelming feelings rather than suppress them.
The album also features the popular anthem "Start Living," a track built around sunlit guitars and massive hooks that explores the exhaustion of modern self-improvement. Additional fan-favorite singles like "I Expect Better," "Good Intentions," and "She Is A Time I'm Living In" further display the group's impressive musical breadth.
Since the release of their self-titled debut EP, daydreamers have rapidly established themselves as a formidable live act. They have already graced stages at prominent festivals including Reading & Leeds, Latitude, TRNSMT, and The Great Escape, alongside high-profile support slots for Kings of Leon and Pale Waves.
Following a headline show at London's 100 Club on July 16, the band will kick off their winter tour on December 1 at Glasgow's King Tut's, making subsequent stops in Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, and Bristol, before concluding the run at Patterns in Brighton on December 9.
