Global event cinema leader Trafalgar Releasing has partnered with virtual reality concert company AMAZE and KQ Entertainment to bring K-pop stars ATEEZ back to the big screen. The cinematic event, titled ATEEZ : LIGHT THE WAY IN CINEMAS, will premiere in movie theaters worldwide on Thursday, August 6 and Saturday, August 8, following up on the group's highly successful 2025 theatrical release.
The upcoming feature takes the immersive VR concert experience created by AMAZE—which toured select global cities throughout 2025 and 2026—and re-imagines it specifically for traditional, large-format cinema screens. Shot natively in stunning 8K resolution with multi-camera coverage and 5.1 surround sound, the production preserves premium visual and audio quality to offer fans a grand stadium atmosphere.
Audiences will be treated to high-octane live tracking of the group's biggest global hits, including the high-energy anthem "INCEPTION," the massive fan favorite "BOUNCY (K-HOT CHILLI PEPPERS)," and the sharp choreography of "Ice On My Teeth."
The theatrical release also features a narrative storyline where the members—Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho—must navigate a dreamlike wasteland and a collapsing world engulfed in fog to find their missing fanbase, known as ATINY.
To create the ultimate experience for filmgoers, this global screening includes 20 minutes of exclusive, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage that will not be available anywhere outside of theaters. Additionally, local cinemas will be distributing exclusive photocard fan gifts to attendees during the event.
Since their debut in 2018, ATEEZ has rapidly grown into a dominant force on the global music landscape, achieving six consecutive million-selling albums and multiple entries on the Billboard 200 chart.
Tickets for the worldwide screenings go on sale on Monday, July 6. The initial August 6 and 8 dates apply globally, with the exception of Korea, where the film opens on August 19, and Japan, which will announce its release dates in the near future.
