Adam Lambert unveils dark pop music video ahead of new self-titled album

Grammy-nominated international superstar Adam Lambert has officially delivered the music video for his desire-driven new track, "EAT U ALIVE." Shot in Paris and directed by Vitalii Akimov, the hyper-contemporary visual accompaniment showcases the song's dark pop edge. The track serves as the premier single for Lambert's highly anticipated sixth studio album, ADAM, which is scheduled to arrive on Friday, 10 July 2026.
Released via his own independent label and distributed through The Orchard, the upcoming self-titled LP contains 12 new tracks. The album is executive produced by Pete Nappi—known for his collaborative work with Rihanna, Jon Batiste, and the Jonas Brothers—and features striking cover artwork captured by legendary fashion photographer Nick Knight.
Musically, ADAM is heavily influenced by 1990s alternative rock and electronica, blending multiple genres to forge a dark, industrial texture. Lambert cited iconic artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Björk, Prince, Muse, and Massive Attack as foundational inspirations for the project's sonic direction, which heavily explores the themes of vulnerability and radical self-acceptance.
"EAT U ALIVE" marks Lambert’s first release of original music since his critically acclaimed 2024 Broadway debut as the Emcee in the Tony Award-winning revival of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. Following that theatrical success, he starred as Judas alongside Cynthia Erivo in a highly praised, three-night summer 2025 run of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, which American media outlets heralded as a major triumph.
To celebrate the summer album launch, Lambert will embark on a series of specialized album release concerts across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. The exclusive live dates are set to kick off on release day, 10 July, at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, before making stops at the Brooklyn Paramount, London's historic Roundhouse, and several other major venues. The brief promotional tour will officially conclude on 23 July at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin. Tickets for all scheduled performances are officially on sale now.
