Pioneering pianist, composer, and chart-topping Classical Soul artist Alexis Ffrench has officially released his reflective new single, "Grateful." The uplifting instrumental track offers the first glimpse into his forthcoming studio album, 24, which is set for global release in October 2026.
Shaped as a moment of intentional pause amidst the noise of modern life, "Grateful" explores the concept of finding beauty in everyday miracles. The track builds upon the themes introduced in his recent release, "Good Morning," which emphasized gratitude as a daily practice. Ffrench explained that the piece serves as an invitation for listeners to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with the fleeting, small moments that hold the deepest meaning, rather than constantly rushing toward the next milestone.
The upcoming album, 24, comprises 24 meticulously crafted piano pieces designed to serve as a musical companion to the clockwork regularity of a single day. The tracklist provides an immersive snapshot that gently guides listeners from the quiet stillness of dawn, through the busy heart of midday, and into the golden hour of evening.
Ffrench recorded the album during ten days of total immersion at the legendary Miraval studios in Provence, France. The record features Ffrench performing across an array of vintage grand pianos, upright pianos, and organs, enhanced by delicate ripples of percussion and a lush string ensemble featuring harp and double bass.
The year 2026 also marks the 20th anniversary of Ffrench's seminal debut album, Piano Diaries. Over his distinguished career, the contemporary instrumental pioneer has amassed over one billion streams, achieved multiple number-one albums, and secured Gold-selling status in the United States for his single "Bluebird." Driven by a singular mission to make classical music accessible to all, Ffrench serves as the first-ever Artistic Director of the ABRSM and has performed for massive global audiences, including a standout set at the King's Coronation Concert. 24 marks a contemplative and captivating new chapter for one of the defining voices of the genre.
