Rising "Retro Electro" artist Sophie Grey has officially released her bold new single and accompanying music video, "Cyberspace". The track, which debuted on May 8, 2026, expands Grey’s self-contained sonic universe into a fully realized experience that blurs the line between digital fantasy and pop reality. Produced, written, and performed entirely by Grey herself, the single is built on propulsive rhythms and layered synth textures designed to capture the sensation of drifting through a hyper-stylized machine world.

The release is paired with a striking music video directed by Maximilian Stafford, showcasing Grey’s futuristic aesthetic through immersive world-building and surreal imagery. Grey describes "Cyberspace" as a digital home that is always just seconds away, characterized by perfect weather and mysterious sound waves. As a classically trained pianist mentored by Patrice Rushen, Grey blends live instrumentation with sparkling electronic sound design, a style she has dubbed "Retro Electro". Her artistry extends into performance art, often featuring theatrical costumes and interactions with "File Collins," her robot companion.
