GRAMMY®, TONY®, and EMMY® Award-winning icon Barry Manilow has released "Another Life – 2026," a reimagined version of his 1992 single. The track serves as the final preview for his 33rd studio album, What A Time, which is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026. This project is particularly significant as it marks Manilow’s first collection of nearly all-original material in almost 15 years, following 2011’s 15 Minutes.
Written by Andrew Hill and Preston Sturges, "Another Life – 2026" is a sparkling ballad that explores the emotional distance between former lovers. Arranged by Manilow and his longtime collaborator Michael Lloyd, this new recording retains the song's wistful core while deepening the sense of nostalgia that has defined Manilow’s career. The album's lead single, "Once Before I Go," has already reached the Top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart, extending Manilow’s extraordinary chart presence to six consecutive decades.
What A Time features an eclectic group of cross-generational collaborators, including Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and nine-time GRAMMY® winner Dave Cobb. The album also sees Manilow reuniting with longtime co-writers Bruce Sussman and Adrienne Anderson. The resulting tracks pair melodic grandeur with fresh textures, ranging from string-swept torch songs to R&B flourishes, heartland rock, and gospel-inspired crescendos. Fans can also view the official music video for "Sun Shine," a feel-good track co-written with Gary Barlow.
