Music News is proud to host the exclusive world premiere of "Me Embrujaste" by Sanchez.

At the heart of Sanchez lies a passion nearly four decades in the making—two brothers reuniting to reignite a shared creative drive long set aside for the demands of everyday life. Flash back to the '90s: Michael and Ed Sanchez's involvement with Albuquerque hometown heroes Alma opened doors to remarkable opportunities, from performing at major venues like the Hollywood Palladium and the Santa Monica Civic Center to landing a seven-year record deal with Art LeBeau, building an impressive body of work spanning studio recording, music production, and film. Now based between Texas and Los Angeles, Michael's re-immersion in the Southern California music scene has reignited his excitement and set the stage for a full return to music. Together, the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame inductees are embarking on their next creative endeavor, more focused and fearless than ever. Drawing from the lush, layered sounds of Malo, James Brown and Santana, Sanchez weaves Latin flair and high-intensity rock into compelling, atmospheric narratives, leaving listeners warm with the desert sun's heat, wishing the melodies would never end.

"Me Embrujaste" tells a story buried deep in the sandy soils of the Southwest, a familiar folkloric tale known to many Latinos across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. When faced with troubles of the heart, a forlorn woman may seek out a curandera to cast a special spell, sowing far more than just affection. With the right ingredients, she can bind a man's will to the woman’s, turning him into her devoted companion, which is exactly what has befallen Embrujaste’s narrator. Raucous electric guitars and soaring harmonies amplify the intensity of his desire, while sensual, cinematic flourishes underscore the savage pull of his obsession. Embrujaste’s fresh Latin-influenced rock keeps the adrenaline pumping as he struggles to make sense of it all, how one toxic kiss was enough to electrify his entire being, leaving him with no way back. “Perdí mi memoria,” I’ve lost my mind, he pleads, “Me embrujaste…” you bewitched me.

In the "Me Embrujaste" music video, directed by Ed Sanchez, Embrujaste turns the traditional imagery of curanderismo on its head, exploring what happens when "happily ever after" is just one bite away. A dolled-up woman steps into a bustling nightclub, zeroing in on her next mark with a devilish smile. She presents the unsuspecting patron with her enchanted fruit, and he takes the bait without a second thought. As their hips sway on the dance floor, he falls into a dizzying, all-consuming obsession—and from that moment on, he is powerless to resist the fire in her eyes, no matter what trouble it brings. Even as she drives away, reaping the rewards of his devotion and leaving him in the dust, he cannot refuse her.
