Beloved Australian trio DMA’S have officially announced the release of their fifth studio album, aptly titled DMA’S, arriving on August 7 via Wonderlick Entertainment and RCA. The announcement comes alongside the release of their latest single, "Heatin Park," a stadium-ready anthem that signals a bold sonic evolution for the band.

Recorded between their own studio in Glebe, Sydney, and Los Angeles, the self-titled record represents a defining moment for Johnny Took, Matt Mason, and Tommy O’Dell. Co-produced largely by the band alongside Grammy-nominated producer Lach Bostock, the album promises to blend their signature anthemic songwriting with fresh, gritty textures.

"Heatin Park" serves as a stark contrast to the melodic sweetness of their previous hit, "My Baby’s Place." Featuring an MBV-inspired lead guitar riff and distorted vocals, the track captures what Matt Mason describes as a "feral energy." The official music video, filmed across various locations in Melbourne and the UK, is available now and showcases the high-octane aesthetic of this new era.

"The album is called DMA’S because that’s exactly what it is," says Mason. "It started as an old forgotten demo banged into a new sound for us, and that collision is what gives it its energy."

The trio has built an incredible legacy over the past decade, accruing over 500 million streams and securing a string of Top 10 albums in both Australia and the UK. With 13 tracks in triple j’s Hottest 100 and a 2023 ARIA Award for Best Group, the band continues to be a dominant force in indie rock.

To celebrate the release, DMA’S will embark on an Australian headline tour this November. The run kicks off in Brisbane on November 27, before heading to Melbourne and concluding with a massive hometown performance at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on December 3.

Fans can expect a diverse setlist; in addition to debuting tracks from the new album, the band will perform a special Hills End anniversary set and a selection of their most iconic cult hits. Ticket information is available via Secret Sounds and Live Nation.
