Fifteen years after their last studio outing, the indie-rock stalwarts Hard-Fi are officially back. The band has unveiled their brand-new single, "Looking For Fun," offering a defiant first taste of their long-awaited fourth album, Sweating Someone Else’s Fever, set for release on June 19th via V2 Records.

"Looking For Fun" is a guitar-driven anthem that finds frontman Richard Archer in peak form. Inspired by a lyric from The Clash’s "White Man In Hammersmith Palais," Archer describes the track as a survival guide for the modern age: "It’s about trying to find the joy in life whilst everyone’s trying to kick you in the nuts."

The track follows the successful release of "They Ain’t Your Friends," which has already garnered significant airplay on Radio X and Virgin Radio.

Recorded in their signature "Cherry Lips" studio—a converted taxi office—the new record was produced by Archer alongside longtime collaborator Wolsey White. The title, borrowed from an El Salvadorian proverb about avoiding ego-driven battles, reflects a band finally unburdened by industry pressure.

While the sharp social commentary of their iconic debut Stars of CCTV remains, the new material explores fresh territory:

"Digo Nada": A Gorillaz-esque fusion featuring Colombian rapper Mike Kalle.

"You Rule My Heart": An emotive highlight featuring Olivier-nominated vocalist Krysten Cummings.

"Humpback Whale": A poignant look at the looming shadow of AI.

The reunion was sparked during lockdown after a livestream of their debut album received an overwhelming response. This momentum carries into a busy 2026. Before hitting the summer festival circuit—including slots at Y Not, Kendal Calling, and Victorious—the band will perform for 60,000 fans at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on May 16th.

The year concludes with three major headline dates in December:

3 Dec: O2 Academy Brixton, London
4 Dec: O2 Institute Birmingham
5 Dec: O2 Ritz Manchester
