European pop, fashion, and queer icon Tamta has returned to the spotlight with her boldest sonic statement yet. Her new single, ‘AUTOTAPINOSI’, released via her indie label Kiki Music Group and Minos EMI / Universal Music Group, marks a defiant new chapter centered on women’s empowerment, ownership, and self-worth.
A Darker Sonic Evolution
Produced by TEO.x3 (known for his work with Prada and Dsquared2), ‘AUTOTAPINOSI’ is built on a striking Electronic Body Music (EBM) foundation. Blending industrial, electronic, and post-punk elements, the track pushes Tamta’s signature alt-pop into darker, more confrontational territory. The songwriting team includes TSO, named one of DAZED’s top emerging artists for 2026, and Barbara Argyrou (BARBZ).
Tamta has already garnered high praise, with Wonderland describing her vocals as "magnetic and enigmatic," while Mixmag hailed her career as "a rare and fearless act of cultural reinvention."
Redefining Empowerment
At its core, ‘AUTOTAPINOSI’ challenges traditional narratives around desire. Tamta places women firmly at the center, reclaiming erotic agency and breaking long-standing taboos.
“AUTOTAPINOSI plays with the idea that surrender can be a form of power,” Tamta explains. “It’s about owning your desires without shame and redefining empowerment on your own terms. Everything came together in a very instinctive, effortless way.”
A Global Influence
With over 250 million combined streams, Tamta remains a formidable force in the industry. Following the critical success of her 2025 album THE VILLAIN HEROINE, she has continued to merge the worlds of music and high fashion, collaborating with brands like Mugler and Adidas.
The new single follows a wave of momentum, including a viral performance at Sing For Greece 2026 and the release of her live recording, LIVE MUTATIONS. Drawing inspiration from boundary-pushing artists like Arca and FKA Twigs, Tamta is showing no signs of slowing down.
Tamta will return to London for a headline show at Colours Hoxton on October 9, 2026, with a new album already in the pipeline.
