The creative pulse of East London is set to quicken this summer as South by Southwest® (SXSW®) London officially unveils the first wave of musical talent for its 2026 edition. From June 1–6, the festival will transform the streets, clubs, and cultural landmarks of Shoreditch into a sprawling global music village, bridging the gap between underground discovery and world-renowned stardom.

This year’s initial announcement features ten special guests that embody the festival's commitment to genre-defying sounds. Headlining the reveal is the "Queen of Afrobeats," Tiwa Savage, alongside Nigerian drill sensation ODUMODUBLVCK and the intricate lyricism of American rapper Earl Sweatshirt.

The lineup further showcases the diversity of the UK and global scenes with:

Rachel Chinouriri: The BRIT-nominated indie-pop storyteller.

Shame & Circa Waves: Stalwarts of the post-punk and indie-rock landscapes.

Sega Bodega: The innovative producer reimagining electronic performance.

Infinity Song: NYC-based soft-rock siblings known for transcendent harmonies.

Amaria BB: The Hackney-based voice blending R&B and soul.

Industry Pass holders will also gain exclusive access to sets from Grammy-winning producer Fraser T Smith and the legendary "voice of electronic music," Pete Tong.

Cultivating the Future of Sound

"The future of music isn’t uniform," says Adem Holness, Head of Music at SXSW London. By partnering with 37 co-curators—including BBC Introducing, Hospital Records, and Hackney Empire—the festival aims to bypass commercial homogeneity in favor of authentic community scenes. Nearly 100 "music heads" and jurors from organizations like Universal Music and Koko have been tasked with hand-picking the 200+ artists who will define the week.
