The iconic Montreux Jazz Festival has revealed a historic programme for its 60th anniversary, set to take over the Lake Geneva shoreline from 3–18 July 2026. This diamond jubilee bridges six decades of musical heritage with the cutting-edge sounds of tomorrow, featuring a roster that spans jazz legends, rock royalty, and global pop sensations.
The festival kicks off with a bespoke performance by RAYE, who follows in the footsteps of her idols Nina Simone and Etta James. In a festival first, the Auditorium Stravinski will be transformed into a completely new stage configuration for her set, co-created by Audemars Piguet.
The Stravinski will serve as the epicentre for several "generation-spanning" pairings. Highlights include:
The Roots & The Isley Brothers (11 July): A powerhouse soul, funk, and hip-hop collision.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (5 July): A dark, atmospheric night shared with Aldous Harding.
Moby (15 July): The electronic pioneer makes his highly anticipated Montreux debut.
Reflecting London and the world’s current charts, the 2026 edition features PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, and amapiano superstar Tyla. Scottish icon Lewis Capaldi and Conan Gray also join the ranks, ensuring the festival remains a vital destination for contemporary pop.
The 60th edition also pays homage to its roots. Deep Purple returns more than 30 years after their debut, alongside festival mainstays Sting and John Legend. The festivities will reach a "fitting conclusion" on 18 July with master songwriters Van Morrison and James Taylor.
At the Montreux Jazz Lab, the programming leans into the avant-garde. Charles Lloyd, who performed at the very first festival in 1967, returns for this milestone year. He is joined by Marcus Miller, who will lead a special "We Want Miles!" tribute to Miles Davis.
Tickets for this unmissable 60th-anniversary celebration go on general sale on 1 April 2026.
