Brighton’s most formidable duo, Lambrini Girls, have returned to set the cultural landscape ablaze with their blistering new single, 'Cult of Celebrity.' Comprised of Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira, the pair follows up their 2025 breakthrough Who Let The Dogs Out with a relentless, thrashing indictment of the global power structures exposed in recent years.
A Scathing Global Indictment
Accompanying the track is a high-octane music video directed by Harv Frost, known for her work with The Last Dinner Party. The song itself functions as a sonic middle finger to the "monsters" of the high-society elite. In a characteristically unfiltered statement, the band pulled no punches regarding the track’s inspiration:
“The age old tale, of selling your soul to the devil has been fabled accounts of high society for years. However due to recent events come to light—it turns out that the elite are very much actually, the devil incarnate... They had no souls to sell in the first place.”
The duo further contextualized the chaos of 2026 by quoting Antonio Gramsci: ‘The old world is dying and the new world struggles to be born: now is the time of monsters.’
From Brighton to the World
After a landmark year that saw them grace the covers of Kerrang! and Variety, the Lambrini Girls have transitioned from local legends to global rock icons. Their "sleekly-produced firestorm" of a sound has already earned them a prestigious fan base, including Iggy Pop and Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna.
The band is currently preparing for an exhaustive 2026 festival run, proving their reputation as one of the best live acts in recent memory. Key dates include:
North America: Two weekends at Coachella (April 11 & 18), followed by sold-out dates in Brooklyn, Boston, and Chicago.
UK/Europe: Mainstage slots at Bearded Theory, Dot To Dot, and 2000 Trees, alongside major appearances at Primavera Sound (Barcelona) and Sziget (Hungary).
With 'Cult of Celebrity,' Lambrini Girls aren't just joining the conversation—they are screaming over it.
