Acclaimed actor and musician Kiefer Sutherland has announced the release of his fourth studio album, ‘Grey’, set to arrive on May 29th via Maple Creek Records. To mark the announcement, Sutherland has shared the lead single, “Simpler Time,” a nostalgic meditation that is available to stream now.

Recorded over a two-year period between 2024 and 2026, Grey represents a stylistic evolution for Sutherland, moving deeper into the textures of country, Americana, and folk. While his previous work often relied on external storytelling, this new collection finds him looking inward.

“In many ways these songs mark a growth for me personally,” Sutherland shared. “I wrote less about observations and more about personal feelings that I have been navigating in my own life.”

The lead single, “Simpler Time,” captures this introspective mood perfectly. Sutherland describes the track as a reflection on a youth that felt more reliable "culturally, socially, and politically." Though he acknowledges the tendency to view the past through rose-tinted glasses, he maintains that the emotional core of the song is rooted in a genuine sense of lost stability.

The album boasts an impressive list of collaborators, with production duties handled by Ethan Johns, Rocco DeLuca, and Mark Neill. The ten-track record includes evocative titles such as “Goodbye California,” “Starlight,” and “The Bottle Let Me Down,” promising a raw and authentic listening experience.

Fans won't have to wait until May to hear the new material live. Sutherland kicks off a comprehensive UK and European tour next month, including a highly anticipated headline show at London’s Union Chapel on May 12th. The tour will also stop at iconic venues such as Glasgow’s Old Fruit Market and Manchester’s New Century Hall before heading to North America this summer.

Grey is available for pre-order now on vinyl and CD. For full tour dates and ticket information, visit KieferSutherland.com.
