Legendary songwriter and producer Midge Ure has officially announced his first collection of new material in 12 years. The ambitious double album, titled A Man Of Two Worlds, is set for release on 8 May, accompanied by an extensive UK and international tour beginning the same day.

A Sonic Study of Two Halves

The album reflects Ure’s recent creative evolution, divided into two distinct parts: World One: Music, featuring eight evocative instrumentals, and World Two: Songs, containing eight vocal tracks. Inspired by his time presenting THE SPACE on Scala Radio, Ure crafted the instrumental half to let melodies speak for themselves. In contrast, the vocal half addresses the complexities of a post-lockdown world, with the lead track, "Just Words," available to stream today.

“Almost every album I’ve made over the past 40+ years has featured at least one instrumental track,” Ure says of the project. “For this album, I wanted to explore this further, showing two sides of what I do.”

The "A Man Of Two Worlds" 2026 Tour

To celebrate the release, Ure will embark on a major live trek that mirrors the album’s dual nature. The performance will weave together new instrumentals and vocal tracks with fan favorites and deep cuts from across his four-decade career.

The tour is structured in two major legs:

May & June 2026: A 21-date run across the UK beginning 8 May.

November 2026: Due to high demand, an additional eight dates have already been added to the schedule.

The live experience aims to take audiences on a journey through Ure's diverse musical landscape, blending the "rockabilly grit" of his early influences with the cinematic synth-pop and folk-rock sensibilities he is known for.

A Man Of Two Worlds will be available on 2LP, 2CD, and digital formats, featuring photography taken by Midge Ure himself. Fans can pre-order the album and secure tickets for the upcoming dates via official channels now.
