Britain’s newest pop phenomenon, December 10, have released their highly anticipated second single, “Angel,” via EMI Records. The release marks a poignant tonal shift for the group, arriving just as they conclude a whirlwind, 13-date sold-out "Introducing!" tour across the UK and Ireland that saw over 7,500 fans clamouring for tickets.

Formed on the global Netflix series Simon Cowell: The Next Act, the septet—Cruz, Danny, Hendrik, John, Josh, Nicolas, and Seán—has moved at a relentless pace since their reveal last December. Their debut single, “Run My Way,” previously secured the No.1 spot on the Official Physical and Vinyl Singles Charts, while their social media following has exploded into the millions.

“Angel,” written and produced by heavyweights Julian Bunetta (Sabrina Carpenter) and Savan Kotecha (The Weeknd), is a lush, melody-led ballad that captures the "dizzy rush of falling hard." Reflecting on the release, the band shared: “Felt mind-blowing on tour to see everyone singing it back to us from when we teased it online!! Totally surreal.”

While often labeled a boyband, December 10 are distinguished by their raw musicality, playing 14 instruments between them. To celebrate the new single, the band released a stripped-back performance video directed by Laurence Warder. The session highlights their technical skill, featuring Hendrik on bass, John on keys, and Josh on cajón, stripping the pop production away to reveal a tender, slow-burning confessional.

Representing a diverse array of backgrounds—from Dublin to Lisbon—and drawing influences from Fela Kuti to Pearl Jam, December 10 embodies a modern, inclusive era of pop. Their rapid ascent shows no signs of slowing down; the group has already announced a massive headline show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on April 8, with tickets expected to vanish as quickly as their previous dates.
