Belgian indie sensation The Haunted Youth have officially signaled their return, announcing the release of their highly anticipated second studio album, Boys Cry Too, out 8th May 2026 via Play It Again Sam. To celebrate the news, the band has shared the explosive first single, "deathwish," featuring Orlando songwriter Max Fry.

Kicking in Doors in London

For UK fans, the spotlight is firmly on Colours Hoxton, where the band is set to perform a headline show on April 3. Proving their status as one of Europe’s most essential rising acts, the London date sold out almost immediately upon announcement. This performance will serve as a crucial testing ground for the new material before the band heads to Brighton in mid-May for The Great Escape Festival.

A Vulnerable Shift in Sound

While their debut, Dawn of the Freak, was defined by hazy, "nursery rhyme" bedroom pop, frontman Joachim Liebens describes the new record as a confrontational shift. "I was a kid on the last album," Liebens reflects. "Now I’m angsty and kicking in doors."

Boys Cry Too explores a raw emotional spectrum, blending the "goth grunge thrash" of tracks like "murder me" with a mission to de-stigmatize male vulnerability. Liebens cites a mix of Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine, and emo-rap icon Lil Peep as influences, resulting in a sound that swaps sun-bleached synths for live drums and distorted aggression.

With a string of sold-out dates across Amsterdam, Cologne, and Brussels already confirmed, the London show at Colours Hoxton is set to be one of the most intimate and intense ways to experience the band’s new "coming of age" era.
